Hello everyone! Each week I watch the church service online. Oct 1st started the new fiscal year for us, so all of the departments have been busy with stock take or end of year inventory count. The store started preparing a couple weeks ago getting the software ready so we didn't have to use pencil and paper to count. All the work paid off with the fastest stock take in Ukarumpa history. We started this past Tuesday and were able to open the store on Friday Oct 1st. Everyone was happy. I was told that one year it took 18 days for stock take. That's a long time not to be able to get groceries.
I have had the privilege of being able to visit with Julie Lutz. She is a missionary with LCMS and has been serving at the Gutnius Lutheran Church for over 30 years in the Enga Province. She has come to visit Ukarumpa for a few weeks. We have plans to go to Madang on the 12th of Oct. to see how the LCMS guest house staff were getting along but due to COVID it may not be possible. I'll keep you up to date on this. COVID has really hit home. The hospitals around the area are full. Our Province is in the high risk area,so once again we are limited on the gathering size and travel.
Thank you for everyone's love and support!
